CapEx Equipment Sales Executive
Field Based role covering the whole of Ireland

Package includes:
Competitive salary in Euros, commensurate with experience, Laptop computer and mobile phone, membership of Group health + death in service insurance schemes, 20 days holiday rising to 25 with length of service, Company pension scheme. company contribution of 3% of salary rising with length of service, The position does not offer a company car but does offer mileage reimbursement at government published rates

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Line Manager, primary duties comprise, but are not limited to:
➢ Business development and lead generation using market knowledge, LinkedIn, Linking up with core research groups, Reviewing company websites and phoning up prospective clients, ▪ Site visits, to nurture customer relations, This may require regular on-site customers visits, along with online platforms such as Zoom or MS Teams
➢ Induction + General Product Familiarity
o The purpose of this point being to set an expectation the induction will be completed, along with a familiarity of the equipment being sold, markets to sell in to, and platforms to achieve this within the first 30 days employment
➢ Qualifying all incoming leads from a successful outbound marketing campaign
➢ Assisting the Group Head of Marketing with the development of promotional activities to include:
o Technical elements of the marketing platform, including the product spotlight - once per month
o All forms of digital promotion
o Printed collateral
o Identification of events and shows
o Preparation of application notes
o Customer references etc
➢ Maintaining appropriate CRM records:
o Contacts:
▪ Keeping any new or current contacts updated
o Enquiries/Opportunities
▪ Not only ensuring new ones are added to the CRM in an efficient manner
▪ But managing those already on the CRM, so they accurately represent the status of the project, at that particular time
➢ Attending relevant trade shows, exhibitions, table-tops/other promo events to promote the range
➢ Commercial competence:
o Preparing quotations, often in co-operation with our Principals
o Carrying out commercial negotiation to close for prospects derived from outbound or business development campaigns
o Remaining within the commercial remit set-out by the Line Manager
▪ An agreed sales approach will be outlined by the Line Manager
▪ The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate confidence of working independently within those
➢ Forecasting
o Generating sales forecasts on a regular basis, minimum of 1 calendar month
o Participating in annual budget production
➢ Technical competence / on-site equipment demo's
o Having the ability to independently conduct demonstrations / training sessions on the equipment, at a customer facility
➢ On receipt of order, liaising with the Principal and BPS sales support where applicable, for the smooth fulfilment of the order and installation of the product sold
➢ Liaising with the Financial Controller for invoice production and where necessary assisting in credit control
➢ Keeping in close contact with Principal's offices as to lead times, product development, applications etc
➢ The candidate having at least 1 year of sales experience within scientific / bio-tech markets, and familiarity with the process of freeze drying would be highly desired
➢ BPS Equipment Sales Team
o A friendly and close knit group, consisting of:
▪ 5 x sales personnel
▪ Supported by 1 x sales administrator
▪ Other departments that cross-over frequently will be marketing, accounts, and engineering
➢ Field based role
o While the role will be field based, the successful candidate will be expected to visit the office when requested
o During the first two weeks, the candidate may be required to be in office every day
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate is likely to meet the brief below:
➢ To be educated to minimum degree standard in a scientific discipline, or have sufficient experience selling within the environments outlined in this job specification - at least 1 x year being highly desirable
➢ To show a commercial track record in the selling of scientific equipment, or similar
➢ To be able to absorb new process technologies quickly and easily
➢ To be able to confidently converse with potential clients across all aspects of the project spectrum i.e. technical, commercial, and logistics, to ensure deals can be closed, efficiently
➢ To be prepared to meet customers on their site
➢ Be a confident, motivated self-starter who thrives on a high degree of autonomy
o The expectation being the candidate will not require a great deal of support to get up and running
o The candidate should be able to demonstrate their ability to work within the remit provided
➢ Team Player
o Someone who enjoys being part of a wider team, and helping out, when required
