What will you be doing:

As a Quality Manager, you’ll be part of a growing global business with a presence in over 40 countries.  You will  manage and oversee all Quality Assurance assigned functions and staff within CooperVision Manufacturing to achieve and maintain a smooth and efficient running of the department to match production requirements, as well as conformance to the documented Quality Management System and all regulatory requirements.

Your other responsibilities include:

• Working with the UK Manufacturing Senior Site Quality Assurance Manager and the QA Coordinators, to ensure the QA team is focused on value added activities
• Ensure all training is completed and that personnel are conversant with all aspects of Company safety procedures as well as the required level of GMP
• All appropriate engineering and improvement projects have the necessary Quality Assurance support
• Control of investigation into customer complaints ensuring reports are compiled and issued in a timely manner
• Participate at Management Reviews
• Review the outgoing quality level, information and implement changes and improvements to working practices where appropriate, in conjunction with production personnel
• Approve validation plans, protocols and reports
• Approve manufacturing changes and deviations

What skills and experience should you have?

We need you to have the following:

• Experience of Quality Assurance in a regulated industry
• Previous contact lens or process knowledge in quality assurance and/or manufacturing
• Experience leading teams
• Knowledge of and experience of using ISO 14971 Risk Management For Medical Devices
• Experience using Quality Management Systems
