Job Details

Hobson Prior are looking to recruit a highly motivated to join a Commercial Strategy Manager biotech organisation whose vision is to efficiently enable scientific breakthroughs through life science.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will design and develop dashboards to track the development of the epigenetics strategy against key milestones.
  • You will use large data analysis, business insight & market intellect, to make recommendations on the definition and tactics for execution of the commercial strategy to deliver a step change in revenue growth of the epigenetics product portfolio and achieve annual revenue and margin targets.
  • To be an skilled in the collation of numerous data points, including internal and external sources, in the epigenetics research area.
  • To use a multi research area method to strategy development in the epigenetics portfolio, capitalising on overlap and synergies between different research areas to maximise return on investment for all research areas.
  • To make approvals on the long-term development of portfolio of products across all categories in epigenetics research and provide input into the development of the inhouse R&D pipeline of new product types and platforms.
  • To use strong financial modelling, size markets for the epigenetics research area and value potential new initiatives to make recommendations on the future direction of the strategy.
  • You will make recommendations on key product lines and customers to target to develop deep relationships that enhance global reputation as a leading partner in the epigenetics research.

Key Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate and present findings and recommendations effectively will be key to this role.

Requirements:

  • Educated in MSc/MS/MRes/MPhil in biological sciences or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years product management or consultancy experience in the life sciences/biotech/pharma or diagnostics industry.
  • Previous experience in sales and marketing would be an advantage.
  • Experience of driving the development and execution of commercial strategies or business cases to deliver a step change in revenue growth for the product ranges you have managed.
  • Experience within the epigenetics/oncology research field and in approaches to antibody development and antibody applications would be a bonus.
  • Experience managing projects with cross-functional teams across the business would be helpful.
