Job Details

One of my innovative biotech clients specialized in gene therapy is looking for someone to support the AD team in planning, execution and reporting of laboratory activities.


It's a varied and broad role in a booming and growing company so there is a lot of growth opportunity for you to grow into your full potential. They are looking for someone that brings there ideas to the table so you can help shape this success story. Both internal and external training is provided so you will hone both your technical as soft skills, a real career booster.


You will have direct reports and dependent on your preferences you can partly work in the lab as well for a certain amount of the time. There is a lot of flexibility in working hours and working remote. The company is located around Amsterdam but full time on site presence is not expected.

Responsibilities:
You will have around 5 direct reports and you will:

* Plan team laboratory work
* Coordinate planning, scheduling activities of technicians within the team and align with internal stakeholders.
* Execute experiments and prepare data overview, reports and interpret results.
* Draft and reviews laboratory and technical documentation related to assay execution, assay development, qualification etc. other PAD relevant studies.
* Ensure training of technicians on relevant analytical methods and laboratory and data recording practice
* Ensure safety and quality procedures are followed to ensure a safe working environment and high data quality
* Provide improvement suggestions and support the improvement implementation

Requirements:
* BSc or MSc in a Life Sciences-related field.
* Minimum 3 years experience in people management (at least 1 direct report)
* Knowledge and hands on experience with aseptic cell culture techniques
* Knowledge and hands on experience with relevant molecular biology techniques (e.g. (q)PCR, DNA electrophoresis)
* Knowledge and hands on experience with biochemical analyses (e.g. protein electrophoresis, western blotting, ELISA)
* Experience in assay design and trouble shooting
* Very good organizational and communication skills
