Labcorp Drug Development is looking for a Laboratory Coordinator to join their growing team based in Shardlow for a 6-month contract.

The Laboratory Coordinator provides daily support for the Diagnostics Testing Team to include the key areas of onboarding, training, and tracking key metrics.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support onboarding of staff
  • Coordinate 1 st day activities
  • Maintain Dx department roster (Name, Shift, Contact Number, Supervisor)
  • Support time card processing for agency temps
  • Support processing of invoices for staffing agencies
  • Support tracking of key metrics for staff
  • Coordinate and track training
  • Manage pipettes administration, renewal and maintenance through centralization
  • Coordinate proficiency testing (PT) programs
  • Support both long-term and short-term projects with a focus on improving laboratory performance and efficiencies, including close coordination with other departments and functional areas
  • Support the Dx Senior Lab Manager and Supervisors
  • Support general Dx Lab (schedule meetings, meeting and huddle notes, etc)
  • Ensure and optimizes proper management of supplies/orders for Dx Lab
  • Support Training file maintenance
  • Perform all procedures in accordance with the written company policies. Adhere to established safety policies
Education/Qualifications:
  • Educated to A-level (or a similar education standard)
Experience:
  • Individual must have 2 or more years of experience (additional education experience can be substituted for work experience)
  • Position requires ability to focus on detail, good communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word or comparable computer experience in desired
  • Must demonstrate a high level of accuracy and efficiency
