Oxford Biomedica’s Engineering team are responsible for all aspects of Plant, Mechanical, Electrical and Incoming utilities from point of connection into any of our facilities.  This includes laboratories, manufacturing suites and office space.

 

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join the team.  The purpose of this role is to manage multi-site Engineering teams.   You will also be covering both process and utilities across manufacturing and research buildings, asset lifecycle management through assessment, criticality, planned preventative and reactive maintenance, calibration, and improvement programs.

 

Your responsibilities in this role would be:

  • Line Management of multiple site lead engineers and their respective teams
  • Review and improve engineering policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure best practice
  • Delivery of small-scale capital projects
  • Provision of metrics on engineering KPI’s
  • Set out asset life cycle management
  • Ensure the engineering team is efficient and robust through recruitment, training, coaching, and succession planning and performance management
  • Broad business knowledge of Engineering, Facilities, Capital Projects, Qualification, Quality, Manufacturing, and Research
  • Operational budget management

 

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Previous people management/coaching experience within a technical team
  • Ability to manage a team remotely/across multiple sites
  • Experiece of working within a similar highly regulated environment
  • Mechanical or Electrical background with process and facility experience
  • Effective communicator with experience of influencing at all levels of an organisation
  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite
