The Opportunity
The Process Engineering function at CSL Behring is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) Principal Process Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Broadmeadows site. This exciting full time permanent role will be responsible for time-critical frontline technical support of our life-saving parenteral manufacturing operations and strategic project execution. This role will apply fundamental process engineering and scientific knowledge to the design, implementation and life cycle management of complex process and technology. You will work closely with a broad range of local and global counterparts spanning three continents and functions as diverse as Manufacturing, Operational Analytics, Engineering, Quality, Technical Transfer, Validation, Research & Development and Regulatory Affairs.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Manufacturing & Science Technology, your responsibilities will include:
- Technical lead of strategic projects, technical transfer of processes, manufacturing deviations, management of change, and regulatory audits
- Monitor and analyse production processes and technology to continuously improve safety, reliability of supply, quality, and cost of goods sold
- Conduct scientific investigations including performing downscale studies, review of existing process knowledge, analysing manufacturing data, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
- Technical review of manufacturing, project, and regulatory documentation
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science discipline
- Minimum 5 years working in Process Engineering in Pharmaceutical/Biotech, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Food or similar industry
- Demonstrated experience with the complex processes, technology, automation, and analytics
- Direct experience with regulated environments (i.e., cGMP, OSHA, EPA)
- Natural alignment with CSL values and culture
- Strong resourcefulness, drive, communication, collaboration, and conflict management skills
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in cross-functional, multicultural, and international teams
- Laboratory experience favourable but not a requirement
