Job Details

My client, a leading laboratory supplier, is currently looking for a Technical Sales Specialist – Internal Sales to join their team. The company is based in Dublin 24 however there is an option for Remote working.

Specific Duties

  • Provide sales support to our field sales and engineering teams and existing customers.
  • Responding to customer enquiries received by phone/e-mail/online or any other channel.
  • Routing capital sales enquiries to the appropriate field sales person.
  • Participate in direct marketing activities (principally direct mail & telesales) to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix and timescales.
  • Recording of all sales and customer engagement within the CRM system.
  • Sales pipeline management.
  • Engages with new and existing customers, key accounts exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities. This may involve accompanying field sales personnel to site meetings if appropriate.

Key Areas of Responsibility & Accountability

  • Territory is ALL of Ireland incl. Northern Ireland, UK & the Rest of The World
  • Participate in marketing campaign planning, execution and measurement.
  • Efficient routing of capital sales enquiries to the appropriate field sales person.
  • Maintains an awareness of the competition by monitoring pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques or any other appropriate information.
  • Continuously developing professional and technical skills/knowledge by attending in-house training, factory training, educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies as appropriate.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to eliminate root causes if possible.
  • Achieving sales and margin targets as set by the company.
  • Meeting KPI’s maintaining appropriate customer related sales information within ProspectSoft
  • This role will involve flexible working hours

Minimum Education & Skills Required

  • Third Level Business / Science qualification or appropriate experience
  • 1 year working in sales or sales support role.
  • Client relationship development skills
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • It is vital that the employee be motivated, enthusiastic with considerable problem-solving skills and an ability to work within the sales team to meet deadlines, targets & goals.
