Job responsibilities
• Gains and demonstrates an understanding of facilitation skills and techniques through facilitating assigned Trusted Process® events. Develops an understanding of group norms and dynamics, and adapts to different cultures and organizations. Key aspects include:
o Coordinating the required meeting preparation;
o Identifying and engaging all applicable stakeholders;
o Managing the meeting process;
o Capturing action items; may assist with taking meeting highlights when requested;
o Leading assigned sections of the meeting agenda;
o Encouraging participation from all attendees; helping attendees understand diverse viewpoints and alternative solutions; maneuvering teams through sensitive group conversations;
o Achieving appropriate level of facilitation sign-off per assigned meeting.
• Under the direct supervision of Trusted Process® staff, assists Syneos Health teams through Trusted Process® events by:
o Collaborating with cross-functional teams within Syneos Health;
o Acting as a liaison between the Syneos Health team and Customer in all aspects related to the Trusted Process®, promoting teamwork and communication;
o Building an effective meeting strategy by determining meetings purpose, required inputs, meeting process, required participants and expected outputs/deliverables;
o Reviewing associated meeting documentation (inputs, agenda, outputs) against expected quality standards;
o Providing guidance in the use of Syneos Health's systems, web-based tools and processes.
• Is responsible and accountable for all assigned activities. Utilizes designated system(s) to track and process Trusted Process® information; keeps department management fully apprised of status of assignments and promptly escalates potential issues.
• May participate in departmental and/or business initiatives as a team member.
• May train colleagues and new employees in relation to limited aspects of the Trusted Process®.
• May support internal/external conferences; may lead internal team meetings as directed by line management.What we're looking for
• Bachelor's degree preferably in the life sciences, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Prior experience in a contract research organization, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology company is beneficial.
• Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines while delivering high quality work in a dynamic environment are essential. Needs to be enthusiastic, highly adaptable, quick to assimilate new information, demonstrates initiative as an individual contributor and a key team member.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Must be confident participating in and ultimately leading interactions that involve multiple internal and external stakeholders, including Senior and Executive leaders.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based systems, voicemail, Email and Internet are necessary; basic computer skills using MS Project are preferred. Willingness to embrace new technologies.
• Must have valid, current driver's license and passport, as well as the ability to secure corporate credit card. Ability to comprehensively manage required travel.
