Lab Manager

Lab Manager – IVD and Molecular Diagnostics – Paris, France

My partner is an IVD company who is developing a novel single-molecule genomics platform. They are seeking an experienced Lab Manager with an in-depth understanding of laboratory operations including stock of consumables, database management, purchase orders etc.

Experience in the above and setting up a LIMS would be ideal.

As you will be working within a small and recently well-funded company, the career growth potential is very promising here. They are entering into commercialisation phase now meaning that the work you will do as part of the Lab team as it expands will have quite a large impact on the future of this device and others the company may wish to develop.

What will you do?

• Ensure smooth running of all laboratory operations
• Maintain reagent inventory and ensure proper use of consumables with minimal waste
• Manage samples disposal
• Process security documents
• Act as point of contact for various suppliers
• Co-ordinate equipment acquisition

What do you need? 

• BSc in biotechnology/molecular biology or a related field paired with 4+ years’ experience in a similar position
• A strong knowledge and understanding of various molecular biology laboratory techniques including PCR, real-time qPCR assays would be ideal but isn't a requirement
• Good communication skills in English is essential
