Bioprocess Development Scientist

Bioprocess Development Scientist – Biotech – Stockholm, Sweden

My partner is Biotech company who is focused on developing stem cell-based therapies for a disease which affects billions annually. They are seeking an experienced Bioprocess Development professional who has previous hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques.

A strong background in single-use cell processing technologies to scale-up USP and DSP development would be ideal.

You'll have a key part in enabling my partner to move to in-human trials thus advancing their treatment of a disease which affects billions globally.

What will you do?

• Develop scalable, robust and high yielding cell-culture processes 
• Generate, manage and evaluate critical data
• Support analytical evaluation and work cross-departmentally to integrate results into over all PD plans 
• Act as a SME for relevant equipment and provide training where needed 

What do you need?  

• PhD in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology or similar field.
• Around 2 years experience in the industry is preferred
• Mammalian cell culture expertise paired with experience in bioprocess development and scaling 
• Experience in cell-based analytical assays is required with a preference for candidates with hands-on flow cytometry and qPCR
