Medical Affairs Manager - Medicinal Cannabis - London

Our client is a licensed producer, supplier and exporter of pharmaceutical grade medicinal cannabis. They offer a range of education, access, and management services to support eligible patients and healthcare professionals in navigating medicinal cannabis treatment pathways. They currently operate within highly regulated medicinal cannabis markets including the United Kingdom.

The team you will work with is truly passionate about the business and inspired by the patients, families and physicians managing a range of conditions, including but not limited to Chronic Pain and CNS.

The Medical Affairs Manager role develops and manages the work of the medical area, paying heed to MHRA cannabis based products for medical use (CBPM) guidance in the UK. This includes but not exclusively, the creation and review of medical support materials, medical information provision to HCPs, and local pharmacovigilance support. The role will be the medical lead on medical inputs to the activities undertaken by the company in the UK working with Head office (Australia) and local teams.

The legitimate exchange of scientific and medical information helps to improve HCP education and ultimately patient care. Using the most up to date scientific, medical and pharmaceutical evidence the role will enhance the knowledge of customers.

Candidate requirements:

  • Medical Doctorate (MD), PhD or PharmD registered in the UK
  • ABPI Signatory (optional) or at least good understanding
  • Experience related to company's therapeutic focus for Medical Cannabis. e.g., Pain, PTSD, Anxiety , Sleep, or MS
  • Thorough knowledge of UK market, MHRA, & ABPI.
  • At least 2 years' experience of working in a medical affairs role at a similar level
  • Experience of working to develop evidence with key HCPS
