This role is based at our modern, state of the art offices in Nottingham City Centre which have excellent transport links and the type of working environment you'd associate with an innovative technology company. There's also flexibility to work remotely.

About the role

Working closely with a broad range of stakeholders to gather business requirements, you'll be expected to collaborate with Architects and colleagues in the development teams to transform these into functional & technical solutions, optimising opportunities to drive efficiency and value.

This is an ideal role for a career-oriented Business Analyst who, having equipped themselves with a professional foundation, is now keen to develop further, contributing to large-scale projects and, with support and mentoring, taking ownership of substantial initiatives.

User centricity analysis - describing users' goals, facilitating moderated and unmoderated assessments and evaluating prototypes or designs against usability and accessibility criteria
Relationship management - creating engagement and communications' plans, managing resolutions and corrective actions and ensuring user needs are being met throughout
Business process improvement - exploiting new technologies and automation, recommending new approaches and contributing to organisational guidelines, policies and standardsQualifications

What we'd like you to have
  • Experience in a similar Business Analyst / Technical BA role focusing on software development projects using Agile methodologies, ideally with exposure to the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Experience of working within multi-disciplinary development teams delivering complex, large-scale Cloud-based solutions, ideally with exposure to MS Azure
  • Evidence of taking ownership of specific projects or initiatives and supporting them through to a satisfactory conclusion
  • Competence in core BA skills and techniques such as developing Use Cases, User Stories, Wireframing, Storyboards and UML modelling

  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Scope Management
  • Skills
  • Self-motivated and self-development orientated with a willingness to proactively pursue CPD to enhance and maintain their knowledge-base and skillset
  • Committed to maintaining an up-to-date awareness of relevant trends, tools, technology, techniques and processes
  • Demonstrable ability to apply critical thinking, logic and analytical skills to problem solving and delivering against tasks
  • Able to demonstrate a strong sense of accountability, stepping up where necessary to head-off or resolve problems, where necessary going outside the scope of one's own role to ensure delivery
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders and exchanging complex information with both technical and non-technical staff
  • Ability to exercise flexibility and versatility in managing multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm whilst maintaining attention to detail
  • Displays initiative and self-confidence, is adaptable and can cope with changing and evolving priorities
  • Able to work methodically in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • In return we'll offer you a structured career pathway and development within the role including supporting you in building an awareness and understanding of our industry.
