What is Analytics, Governance & Enablement?

The broader Analytics, Governance, and Enablement team is focused on enabling a best-in-class procurement organization through co-creating, delivering, and owning such topics as data insights, procurement governance, capability building, and digital enablement. Within the Digital Enablement team, we strive to enable increased demand to pay automation and provide the vision and oversight for the procurement solutions and tools that ensure efficient functional and customer experiences.

As a Sr. Digital Enablement Manager, you will work in a dynamic global environment where you will meet the challenge of bringing structured thinking, facilitation, execution, and focus to procurement solutions, enabling self-service and automation. Using your specialized knowledge and in-depth expertise in the respective fields, you will proactively identify and drive opportunities that support customer needs and positively impact efficiency and customer experience. You are an ambassador for procurement digitization and provide strategic thought leadership.

You will work closely with procurement, IT, Roche services & solutions (incl. business process management, project management, regional solution centres), and other relevant colleagues either as a peer, coach, project/workstream lead, or subject matter lead, to align on needs, opportunity identification, and priority to develop, enhance, or deploy enabling services and solutions and respective governance to our internal customers.

Your key responsibilities include:

As a Sr. Digital Enablement Manager, you will play a variety of roles according to your experience, knowledge, and general requirements, including but not limited to:
  • Acting as a domain knowledge and subject matter expert, providing input, advice, and know-how on digital procurement systems and solutions and their governance 
  • Developing, facilitating, and overseeing the technology roadmap and functional & usability enhancement planning as well as contributing to and supporting the improvement and creation of broader enablement frameworks and services
  • Advocating and influencing the alignment of requirements for an aligned technology roadmap to advance the digitization of procurement 

You will work within the broader team, networks, and squads/project teams to determine the various roles needed to deliver in both project and foundational work.

You bring the following skills, mindsets, and behaviors:


You hold a university degree, with a business, or IT degree preferable. You also have  extensive years within procurement, (cloud-based) procurement technology, and/or management consulting, ideally in a global/international as well as matrix organization. You have demonstrated success in building and cultivating collaborative and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

In addition, you have:
  • Relevant project-based experience with source to pay platforms (Smart by GEP technology and services procurement knowledge is a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technology requirements and vice-versa translate technology terminology into simple business terms
  • Experience in communicating with senior stakeholders within procurement as well as throughout Roche and persuade them of the benefits of new technology, strategies, or offerings
  • Understanding of general and procurement specific business processes 
  • Certified / Expertise in proven methodologies such as: Agile / Change Management / Project Management / LEAN 
  • Business level fluency in English
