About This Job

This is an exciting opportunity for aspiring Medical Affairs professional to join the UK/Ireland Nephrology medical team and be responsible for leading the implementation of the medical strategy (Core Medical Plan) at the affiliate level in Ireland by coordinating and executing medical / scientific activities to (i) understand the local external environment and data gaps; (ii) translate insights into strategies and activities and; (iii) ensure the information needs of key stakeholders are fulfilled to help ensure the safe and appropriate use of Astellas products.

In addition, you will take responsibility of managing external HCP relationships for the TA, this will include approx. 30% of travel across Ireland.

If you have previous experience as a Senior Medical Advisor, or, Medical Manager within specialty medicine and are keen to obtain your final signatory status, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Solid experience within Pharmaceutical Medical Affairs
  • Previous experience within speciality medicine TA (Nephrology preferred but not essential)
  • Experiencing of managing NICE submissions and HAD data
  • Strong scientific/late phase clinical knowledge.
  • Experience in managing complex projects independently (such as but not limited to AdBoards, Publications, Preceptorship, etc...)
  • Proven experience of working collaboratively across varies functions such as Brand teams and HEOR as well as regionally and globally.
  • Leading patient centricity groups

Preferred Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience within the TA of Nephrology/chronic kidney disease or anaemia (preferred but not essential).
  • Project Management qualification – Lean Six Sigma
  • Previous MSL experience

Educations/Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (MD, PhD in health related science or PharmD)
