The Role

CSL Behring (a part of CSL Ltd, an ASX Top 3 organisation) is continuing to invest in Australia and is constructing a large, multi-million dollar project manufacturing facility at our Broadmeadows site.

Focussing on Utilities and Process Services as a Senior Project Engineer, you will be a project stream technical lead and provide design support to ensure projects are executed to meet specification, time, quality and budget targets.

The focus of this role is to work closely with the utilities operational team as the key stakeholder of this project portfolio. This role will also lead and mentor other project managers and junior project engineers working in the same discipline.

CSL Behring has a large number of specialised and complex utilities and process services plants and you will bring best practice project delivery to services such as:

• Plant steam generation and distribution systems
• Reverse osmosis, EDI and distillation based purified water systems
• Refrigeration, compressed air and building services
• Chemical and gas reticulation and CIP systems

Please note this is a 2 year fixed term contract.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing components of the Utilities project budget (value up to $10 million) with accountability for meeting budget and schedule targets.
• Leading and mentoring a team of project engineers
• Managing the design process, equipment selection and procurement as well as coordinating technical feedback
• Supporting preparation and approval of Capital Expenditure Proposals.
• Management and co-ordination of construction, commissioning and validation activities and ensuring quality management systems and procedures are followed.
• Ensuring projects are managed in a way that creates a safe, healthy and secure workplace for the staff and contractors involved in implementing projects and for end users of the facilities.

To be successful in this role:

• Project experience preferably within Pharmaceutical Engineering however related industries will also be highly regarded
• Experience managing projects on construction sites.
• A strong ability to work alongside and in tandem with other project leads and project engineers on their specific projects and timelines
• An ability to work with and influence stakeholders
• Implementation, FAT, commissioning and qualification of new facilities or large upgrade works is highly regarded
• A tertiary degree in Engineering
