Labcorp Drug Development are seeking an Activities Coordinator to join the Clinical Pharmacology Team within the European Centre of Excellence in the heart of Leeds, West Yorkshire in a full-time and permanent position. The Activities Coordinator is responsible for outpatient reception duties and the provision of entertainment and the social welfare of volunteers/patients during their stay at Labcorp Clinical Research Unit.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities may include but not be restricted to:
- Play an active role in the development and implementation of Quality within his/her area of responsibility.
- Participation in project and associated entertainment planning, preparation and organisation.
- Be responsible for the preparation of all relevant documentation, rooms and equipment required to perform the Volunteer Recreation function.
- Be responsible for performing the practical aspects of the Volunteer Recreation function in a manner which ensures that projects are conducted according to the procedure codes and schedules as determined in the relevant SOPs.
- Responsible for promoting a professional image of the Clinical Research Unit by appearing smart and professional at all times and ensuring that all Clinical Operations areas are maintained in accordance with GCP standards.
- Maintain accurate records of Volunteer Recreation stock by performing regular stock inventories of games and equipment.
- Be available to discuss with volunteers any problems they may have and act as an intermediary between relevant personnel, ensuring subject confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Assist the research team with the induction and check in procedure of any volunteers/patients.
- Provide holiday and sickness cover for Screening Reception, this involves booking Volunteers into Screening Department and ensuring that they complete all necessary documentation and updating the volunteer database.
- Hosting Clinical Tours for all prospective Volunteers.
- Gathering and collating Volunteer feedback on their experience at Labcorp Clinical Research Unit, feeding this back to relevant areas to improve our service.
- Good standard of general education.
- Working with people.
- Experience in leisure, social welfare, occupational therapy or counseling skills advantageous.
- Use of initiative to plan, organize and priorities daily workload.
- Adaptable and able to work under pressure to fixed deadlines.
- Mature, professional manner.
