Job Details

A growing biopharmaceutical organisation are currently looking for a Principal Scientific Associate to join them on a 6-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at an organisation focused on discovering, developing, and bringing more, pioneering medicines to patients.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform microbiological quality control tests according to the pharmacopeial methods for clinical and marketed products. This includes testing of sample from environmental monitoring, water, bioburden (including enumeration and specified microorganisms), endotoxins, validations studies.
  • Perform equipment installation, qualification, and maintenance according to cGMP and HSSE (health, safety, security, and environment) requirements.
  • Writing and reviewing standard operation procedures as well as test reports.
  • Writing of risk assessments for specific request from clinical trials or commercial products.
  • Preparing trending reports for environmental monitoring data.
  • Support investigation of deviations or out-of-specification results, including the definition of relevant CAPAs.
  • Support during regulatory inspections and client audits.
  • Follow cGMP regulations for any activities Candidate's Requirements.
  • Technical education or equivalent in Microbiology or Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Requirements:

  • At least 11 years of experience in microbiological quality control testing as technician, or at least 9 years with bachelor degree, or at least 6 years with master degree.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP requirements in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with all type of microbiological quality control tests such as environmental monitoring, enumeration, specified microorganisms, bioburden, water, endotoxin, growth promotion, etc.
  • Knowledge of validation and qualification approaches needed for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Ability to efficiently plan, execute and document analytical experiments in a GMP compliant pharmaceutical environment.
  • Profound understanding of QC laboratory processes and knowledge in QC related applications.
