Job Details

Hobson Prior are looking for a Medical Advisor Governance to join a leading pharmaceutical organisation on a permanent basis.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will support in providing training to all sites in the UK and Ireland on the importance of confirming compliance with the policies and external Codes of Practice. Support continuous improvement in coordination of healthcare compliance processes across the Medical Department.
  • Contribute to the management of compliance processes and key controls including reporting on Key Performance Indicators.
  • Support in the review, design, development and implementation of SOPs, processes and activities to ensure that these are compliant with local regulatory requirements and global policies and procedures.
  • Act as a Medical Signatory as directed by the UK and Ireland Medical Director and/or Head of Medical Strategy and Operations.
  • Track monitor and act as final Medical Signatory to ongoing cross border interactions with HCPs/HCO.
  • Input into internal and external audits to identify any vulnerabilities and risks and input into the development and implementation of any remedial plans.
  • Input into intercompany and PMCPA / IPHA Code complaints
  • Build credibility, establish rapport, and establish and maintain proactive communication with stakeholders at multiple levels including other affiliates, head office, Global Medical Affairs, Business Ethics and externally.
  • Partner with UK and Ireland Medical Signatories, Business Ethics, different functions in the UK and Ireland as well as other affiliates and global functions to ensure effective and compliant activities are undertaken to a high standard whilst ensuring internal and external stakeholder engagement is maintained.
  • Ensure regular communication of best practice and facilitation of knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

  • Registered medical practitioner (ideally with GMC) or GPhC registration (mandatory)
  • 2+ years pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Experience in some or all the following medical functions: Medical Affairs / Business Ethics.
  • Experience as a Medical Signatory for the UK APBI Code of Practice.
  • Demonstrable Code of Practice knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Demonstrable organisational skills and/or project management experience.
