As a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)Quality Assurance Auditor at Labcorp Drug Development , based at Shardlow, Derbyshire you will play an essential part in making this happen.

The Shardlow site is the epicenter of aquatic ecotoxicology and biodegradation. They focus on crop protection and chemical testing.

Responsibilities as a senior auditor will include:

• Perform audits and inspections

• Evaluates responses to inspection reports and performs follow-up with respondents, management, or others, if needed, to ensure resolution
• Report on relevant quality metrics (for multiple topics/departments) and highlight trends
• Provide consultation to the operational team (e.g. as they revise/write controlled documents)
• Delivery of training in performance of audits (basic, intermediate audit activities)
• Work with operational management to support Quality topics and/or working on projects with QA team on other sites [showing development of collaboration skills]
• Contribute to local Quality initiatives and process improvement initiatives aimed at improving compliance and/or efficiency of the local QA organisation
• Create and/or re-write QA SOPs based on findings from local quality initiatives.
• Organising, Prioritising and Managing all aspects of workload to meet business needs.
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance (RC&QA) responsibilities, as indicated in applicable controlled documents, are followed
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science/Arts (BSc/BA) degree; degree in a science field is preferred (e.g. chemistry, biology, animal science).
  • Experience may be substituted for education.
Experience:

  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply (applicable) regulations in order to monitor compliance.
  • Good communication, decision making, negotiating, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong wrtitten communication skills.
  • Knowledge and a number of years working experience of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP) or other regulatory guidelines.
  • Customer service orientated, i.e. ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience in process improvement.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Computer literate.
