We have an exciting opportunity available as a Senior PK Scientist at a hugely exciting novel biotechnology company based in London, England. This is a fantastic role for an experienced and passionate pharmacokinetic PK scientist to take on a broad specialist role with a high level of importance and visibility within the small organisation. The breadth of the position spans reporting and overseeing ADME studies and the PK phase of non-GLP PK and toxicology studies as well as the monitoring of the toxicokinetic phase of GLP tox studies with both small molecule and antibody-drug conjugates. In addition, this role will be challenged with modelling preclinical/ nonclinical to predict clinical exposure and facilitate the estimation of safety margins liaising with senior decision makers to ensure efficient exchange of information.

Responsibility summary

  • Design of the Pharmacokinetic phase of non-GLP and GLP Pharmacokinetic and Toxicology studies with small molecule and Antibody drug conjugates ADCs.
  • Primary study monitor for CRO-based preclinical / nonclinical ADME studies, from protocol development to data interpretation and reporting.
  • Toxicokinetics for all non-GLP PK and toxicology studies, including determination of PK parameters and writing of bioanalysis and PR reports working closely with the Principal Scientist for Bioanalysis.
  • Monitoring for toxicokinetics for all GLP tox studies, ensuring the delivery of high quality PK reports
  • Development of translational models based on nonclinical pharmacology, PK and toxicology data to:
  • Estimate human exposures and target occupancy
  • Inform potential safety margins and likelihood of clinical efficacy, working closely with the Head of Global Clinical Pharmacology
  • Presentation of PK data at internal ADCT meetings
  • Writing the nonclinical pharmacokinetics element of regulatory documents such as IND, IB, BLA/MAA

Requirements

  • PHD or MSc (in relevant subject area)
  • 2-10 years experience in industry (3-5 for Senior Scientist, 5-10 for Principal)
  • Experience with small molecule ADME studies
  • Experience with Phoenix WinNonLin software for non-compartmental analysis, PK/PD and TK modelling
  • Experience with writing nonclinical pharmacokinetics module of CTD for small molecules and biologics
  • Experience with PK data from in-vivo studies
