Medical Writing Manager

The Medical Writing Manager supervises and provides general assistance to the writing team.

• Maintain and organise the work schedule
• Make the decisions on which writers to assign to which projects
• Will conduct performance reviews
• Liaising with Clinical Project managers, sponsors and new business considering availability of writing resources and timelines
• Receive progress reports from the Medical Writing Team to ensure quality of documents and the project's timelines
• Write, QC documents, perform internal reviews
• Inform Senior team of project status and issues that may affect timeline and budget
• Provide estimates of business cost if needed, support the BD team in new acquisitions for MW projects.
• Manage the MW teams admin requirements
• Provide continuous motivation / mentoring to the team.

Experience Requirements

• BS in a medical / scientific discipline, with relevant experience in Med Writing, a higher degree of MS / Ph.D. is preferable
• CRO / Biotech / Pharmaceutical Medical Writing experience
• Line Management experience is preferable

Additional Experience

• In-depth understanding of GCPs, ICH / regulatory guidelines
• Demonstrable ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-moving environment
• Faultless attention to detail and great ability to solve problems
• Fantastic communication skills
