Territory Manager - Continence Care. Exciting new opportunity working across North Wales, Cheshire and Liverpool

Role: Territory Manager

Therapy Area: Continence Care - Intermittent Self-Catheterisation (ISC)

Role Type: Territory Manager, Sales Representative, Medical Representative, Account Manager - the role is responsible for covering customers, mainly specialist nurses, in both the primary and secondary care environment

The client is the Market Leading MedTech company in the UK providing intimate healthcare products and services operating across Ostomy Care, Continence Care, Urology Care and Wound and Skin Care markets.

With a strong record of product and service innovation they work in close partnership with the NHS and healthcare professionals to support and drive the best clinical solutions and services to patients.

Do you like responsibility? Are you passionate about sales? Can you develop customer relationships which deliver business? We are looking for a successful Territory Manager to join the Continence Care team.

As a Territory Manager within the Continence Care division, you will work closely with your Regional Business Leader, Strategic Partnership Manager and nursing team to create and manage account plans to grow your business. You will be part of a cycle that responds to the needs of a patient with action and innovation. You will focus on building relationships and business with specialist nurses in the acute sector and the continence care teams within the community. You will own the local formularies and support the acute trust to deliver excellence in continence care. Understanding both customers and patients needs leads to better product design and this is reflected in the way you are encouraged to sell the Intermittent Self-Catheterisation (ISC) product portfolio. 

In this role your customer focus will be mainly specialist nurses however you will be empowered to identify other customers that are important to your account plans. This is a job for someone who is ambitious, desires success and is willing to take responsibility for growing their business. Above all you will be passionate about making a difference to patient’s lives with private and personal medical conditions.

You will be a successful and self-motivated Sales Professional in the medical field who thrives on working autonomously and in a highly competitive therapy area. You will ideally have experience of working in both acute and community settings. You will be performance driven, with the ability to build long-term working relationships and at the same time have the ability to respond with sensitivity and empathy to customer and patient needs. You will be a resilient individual who takes accountability and is driven to deliver business results as well as being able to work in a wider team.

Key responsibilities:

Maintain, defend and grow sales within the territory.

Achieve the activity and sales targets specified for this role ensuring highly effective use of the company partnership selling model.

Promote and differentiate the company through the total value proposition offered, demonstrated for example through audits and education.

Work with the Regional Business Leader to develop, execute and track the territory business plan.

Maintain a good awareness of competitor activity within the industry and territory, anticipating issues and opportunities, responding in a timely manner as required.

Ensure accurate administration and record keeping, for example, maintenance of customer databases and records, progress notes and customer follow up.

Work with Strategic Partnership Manager to create a positive market access environment.

Ensure a great working knowledge of the NHS, including ICS’s, PCN’s, CCG’s and NHS trusts within the territory, and understand their local priorities.

Work to high medical ethical standards.

Qualifications:

Essential: Full UK driving licence

Desirable: Degree or equivalent 

The Person/Experience:

Successful healthcare field sales experience

Experience of working in both acute and community settings would be desirable

Experience of working with specialist nurses would be desirable

You must be passionate about understanding your customer’s needs and delivering solutions through partnerships

Business acumen; demonstrates good commercial awareness

Ability to demonstrate account management, selling skills

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

Business and clinical knowledge

Demonstrate effective time and territory management skills

Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate with impact

Positive and energetic approach to delivering targets with high levels of personal accountability
