Job Details
Company specialises in identification of natural compounds for alternative therapies. They use cheminformatics, computational biology & machine learning to build a highly-scalable, AI-powered Natural Product Discovery platform. The goal is to accelerate discovery of novel therapeutics for the treatment of common Human Disease.
What you will be doing
- Working independently and within your team to Lead the design, development and scale-up of proprietary natural compounds dataset
- Design, develop and implement robust data processing workflows and storage environments
- Collaborate between teams for data collection and standardization, database structure, workflow development, algorithmic design, data analysis, and visualization
- Work closely with ML engineers, build and supervise a team of data scientists over time to implement these core algorithms into our technology platform
- Work on multiple projects and communicate results to diverse audiences, including project teams, collaborators, and customers
- Keep up-to-date with novel technologies and analysis of these for potential use at company.
Essential
- Advanced Degree (PHD, Chem/Bioinfomatics/ Related Dicipline)
- 3-5+ years relevant experience handling & analyzing chemical and biological data
- Have built large chemical databases associated with bioactivity data and other biological endpoints
- SQL, Python, scikit-learn; chemical toolkits (e.g. RDKit); chemical workflow environments (particularly KNIME)
-Software development experience
- Strong English written/speaking skills
Good to have
- Good Knowledge of Chemistry, Drug ADMET properties/prediction
- Cloud Deployment, HPC, Deep learning environments.
- 1-3 years experience in commercial R&D
- Molecular modeling experience, e.g. in virtual screening, pharmacophore modeling, QSAR, docking, structure or ligand-based modeling
