Job Details

My client is a market leading drug development company specialized in the CNS, Neurology and Psychiatry areas. We are seeking a global Medical Director or Senior Medical Director to join their diverse, collaborative and inclusive Medical team within the Psychiatry function.

The Medical Director will provide medical expertise, medical management and support as assigned Medical Monitor for projects on a global level. If you are a Medical Doctor with expertise within CNS, ideally with Psychiatry focus, please read below.

Responsibilities;

  • Lead global clinical trials as assigned Medical Expert and Medical Monitor
  • Lead of therapeutic and protocol-specific training to the project teams
  • Provide medical expertise into the design of clinical development programs, study protocols, research papers, client-focused white papers, etc.
  • Reviews and/or assist in the preparation of final study reports (CSRs), or other study documentation (Protocols, ISS/ISEs etc,)
  • Identifies, documents and appropriately resolves out-of-scope work as directed by senior management
  • Maintains working knowledge of GCPs and regulatory requirements relating to clinical development and safety assure compliance with ethical, legal and regulatory standards
  • Maintain clinical/therapeutic acumen in medical subspecialty through online and/or in-person scholarly programs/lectures

Requirements;

  • Medical Degree from an accredited institution of Medical Education
  • Specialisation within CNS focused discipline (psychiatric disorders highly preferable)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a medical monitor/PI within specific therapeutic specialty
  • Previous experience within a CRO environment highly preferable
