Senior Bioinformatician

Senior Bioinformatician to join an exciting Oxford start-up Biotech who will work on clinical data derived from Immune Oncology trials. Their vision is decoding immune repertoires for health and disease. This is an exciting time to join a well-funded start-up who are truly leveraging machine learning technologies for novel analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Running and developing computational pipelines to describe TCR diversity from single-cell analysis.
• Analysing WGS and WES data to describe potential neo-antigen targets
• Liaising with the companies customers and partners explaining analysis and contributing to determining the most effective analytical choices to make

Requirements:

• Experience working with NGS sequencing and 10x single cell methods
• Solid understanding of statistics
• Excellent construction of bioinformatics pipelines
• Ability to use R programming confidently
• Familiarity with Linux systems
• An excellent and entrepreneurial understanding of modern biology especially the interaction of immunology within Oncology/Infectious Disease/AutoImmune Disease.
• Ability to work in a close knit team of specialists in a start up environment

• Python
• Application of Machine Learning to biological data
• Snakemake, Docker, AWS/HPC
• Experience of version control systems and programming in an AGILE environment
