Production Operator Nights
Permanent

Nights: 10:00pm - 6:00am

Purpose:

This role has the responsibility to operate the designated manufacturing equipment and systems to produce product that meets pre-defined quality attributes and production schedules, at the production facility in Hatfield and to ensure the efficient operation of all manufacturing operations.


Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

* Must have knowledge and experience of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
* Basic mechanical aptitude, accuracy and documentation skills
* Good technical and scientific judgement
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communication links within and with other customers
* Computer literate (MS Office suite & SAP)


Job Specific Responsibilities:

* To set-up production equipment to ensure correct functionality and calibration compliance
* Identify and Participate in continuous improvement opportunities that result in cost savings and more efficient and compliant ways of working
* Operate production equipment and automated systems within the validated process Parameters.
* Carry out in-process tests, yield calculations, product sampling and inspection to ensure all production meets predefined quality attributes
* Responsible for completion of batch documentation, SAP process order confirmation and other SAP transactions required for the production activity.
* Assist in the effective training of others in systems/procedures/skills/techniques
* Dismantle, clean and reassemble equipment, ensuring it is well maintained
* Review and update manufacturing documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures.
* Actively promote safety awareness and improvements
* Participate in quality investigations and initiate deviations
* Fault finding and rectification on processes and equipment, by liasing with other departments where necessary
* Responsible for compliance to health and safety procedures in areas of responsibility
* Responsible for compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices in areas of responsibility
* To support the design of systems and procedures for the efficient, productive, compliant and safe operation of the manufacturing areas
* Recording appropriate metrics to monitor adherence to production schedules, equipment utilisation, right first time batch records and adherence to SOP and training schedules.
* Participates in internal, customer and regulatory audits
* Carry out Production Facility Cleaning and Sink and Drain Disinfection.
* Participate in manual packaging operations.
* Support Engineering and Contractor activities
* Assist in various maintenance activities within Production Area

* Proven ability to work effectively within a team and also on own.
* Proven ability to prioritise workload, decisive thinking and ability to work within agreed timescales
* Ability to identify opportunities for process & operational improvements and implement appropriate project changes to deliver these benefits
* Passion for "right-first-time" processes and a determination to understand breakdown/failure root cause and prevent reoccurrence
