My client is currently looking for a Research Director with oncology experience, business development skills and brand building expertise to join their team. My client is an insight led brand consultancy for the healthcare industry. Established in 1987 as an independent agency, they are now proud to be part of the world’s largest healthcare communications network. With extensive healthcare expertise in virtually every therapy area, they are trusted to work for the largest pharma companies across the globe.

They currently need a Senior Research Director to guide team members in providing outstanding service to our core clients.

The Senior Research Director at will oversee one of the research teams in the US and ensures my client provides outstanding service to our core clients.

 

The individual must be an experienced leader and people manager who is a strategic thinker and has exceptional client management/business development skills. As a member of the Senior Leadership team, the SRD participates in initiatives during the year in line with our strategy.  The individual should have deep understanding of the Pharmaceutical industry and strong knowledge and experience in primary market research.

 

What you need to do the Job:

 

Research and Consulting Skills: 

•             Ability to fluently engage with clients in brand-building discussions and ability to connect our research approaches to brand-building output

•             Hands-on, consultative approach to project oversight; supervises delivery of insightful and visually compelling qualitative research

•             Thorough knowledge of market research methodologies, particularly qualitative methods

•             Solid knowledge of a variety of therapeutic areas with significant experience in oncology

•             Advising and supporting Global Operations in the resourcing of all research projects

Client Relationships:

•             Member of the Core BD team, actively develops new business for key client accounts and participates in the mentorship of others to develop new business

•             Having an existing client following is helpful

•             Builds, nurtures and expands existing client relationships

•             Creative consultant and partner to clients; responsible for managing client and project issues that may have an adverse impact to the business

Staff Development:

•             Provide timely and relevant feedback to staff to aid in their growth and development

•             Directly line manage Research Directors in team

•             Foster a strong team culture in line with our cultural tenets

•             Excellent team leader skills and experience

•             Advanced primary market research skill set (8+ years)

•             General understanding of business operations

•             Excellent qualitative research skills

•             Outgoing personality, creative, curious, collaborative, detail-oriented
