About this job:

  • Therapeutic Area Manager leads the in-country Therapeutic Area activities to deliver a best-in-industry local customer offer in the country
  • Generate and gather insights, opportunities, risks and needs from the local market and give input to affiliate brand managers in agreed manner
  • Co-develop and execute the operational brand plan in-market, through localisation/ adaption of EMEA-level materials and initiatives, in collaboration with Brand managers
  • Build appropriate business relationships; develop and leverage KOL relationships and act as the Company representative nationally
  • Works collaboratively with peer Brand Managers in Affiliate to develop the recommendations for the brand budget allocation
  • Achievement of sales targets and business results within specified target and product groups through leading sales team and collaboration with peers (Brand managers)
  • Support development of product marketing strategies and ensure effective implementation by the sales force     
  • Team selection, leadership & development of people
  • Manage first line sales managers activities; set appropriate objectives; co-ordinate roles and responsibilities; ensure effective team communication and meetings
  • This role is a Non-Medical Final Signatory.  The incumbent is required, subject to qualifying training, to sign the separate document entitled “APEL Key Accountabilities” for Non-Medical Final Signatory.  It outlines detailed responsibilities for a Non-Medical Final Signatory.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Pharma sector experience with strong customer focus; in multi-disciplinary, matrix and cross-cultural settings.
  • Delivering to stretch KPIs, to sustainably grow the business and maintain performance
  • Collaborative and co-creational role-model, working horizontally and vertically, leveraging CoE service delivery
  • Leading people through change and creating a culture of ownership and accountability
  • Comprehensively understands the impact of commercial activities in the market as well as how Regulatory and Governmental affairs can impact and shape the marketplace
  • Coaching and collaboration skills to interact with all levels of personnel to achieve shared goals.
  • Proven ability to influence, (appropriately) challenge and engage diverse senior stakeholders. 
  • Fosters a culture where everything is done to enhance value to patients.  Intentional about meeting/exceeding customer expectations (internal/external).
  • Considers broader picture and embeds a ‘best practice’ culture to increase operational performance within a multi-cultural, matrix and global organization. 

Education/Qualifications:

  • Fluent in written and verbal business English and native language skill level
  • Graduate or equivalent professional qualification and/or proven expertise.
