Job Details

Hobson Prior are currently in search for a QC Team Leader to join a fast-paced biopharmaceutical organisation who are creating ground-breaking products that have never been made before. The role will be on a permanent basis and you will be based in Stevenage in the UK.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of QC to ensure data integrity policies and processes are implemented and maintained.
  • Review data generated from the management of QC laboratory activities through to the processing and reliable storage of data outputs and trending.
  • Planning and scheduling of all QC activities and work closely with the Head of QC to ensure sufficient resource allocation.
  • Design and implementation of systems and procedures for the efficient, productive, compliant, and safe operation of the department.
  • Lead GMP investigations and generation of CAPAs for out-of-specifications and deviations.
  • Perform effectiveness reviews.
  • Review executed test procedures and associated documentation for release of cell therapy products and drafting of Cof As.
  • Team management and mentorship to direct reports and the wider QC team for routine testing and operations.
  • GMP compliance of QC associated facilities, equipment, and environment. Ensure QC laboratories are maintained audit ready.
  • Support the scale-out of QC operations including the design and setup of new laboratories during expansion.
  • Recruiting and training new staff across the QC function and design and implement systems and procedures to support continued professional development.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with external collaborators and stakeholders where the need arises.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will require a degree in a Life Science subject.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a Biotech or ATMP industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of GMP, Quality Control and Quality Systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance of medicinal products highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Flow cytometry.
  • Strong knowledge of Computer systems and data integrity policies.
  • Knowledgeable of the regulations and guidelines surrounding ATMP manufacture.
  • Data lifecycle, data management and analysis tools.
  • Line management and leadership experience.
