Job Description

  • Review relevant materials (e.g. request for proposal, proposal, etc.)
  • Attend strategy meetings and provide input
  • Prepare for and attend Bid Defense meetings
  • Prepare project management strategy
  • Prepare monitoring and site management strategy
  • Attend relevant handover meetings on award
  • Manage study start up activities.
  • Initiate the project following review of Lessons Learned to ensure current Best Practices are implemented.
  • Define, plan and provide oversight of site selection strategy.
  • Review the applicable project contract/exhibit and provide comments as appropriate.
  • Review initial budget - provide feedback.
  • Manage the set-up of the project team, overseeing request for resource, reviewing proposed team members for suitability, and managing any project team changes throughout the duration of the project.
  • Set up, with Project Assistant role, appropriate Parexel systems and arrange access for team members.
  • Initiate and/or manage IRB/EC and RA (when applicable) approval process with relevant team members.
  • Organize and lead the team internal kick-off meeting.
  • Ensure the scope of the study is well understood by the project team and all functions and communicate expectations.
  • Ensure appropriate resourcing will be delivered by the functions.
  • Ensure team members understand expectations regarding the function of the project specific project plan.
  • Organize and lead Sponsor Initiation Meeting by establishing expectations for project delivery, communication, and sponsor specific metrics, etc.
  • Oversee set up and management of investigator payments.
  • Work with the Project Assistant on developing a project plan including all elements listed in the project plan template as appropriate for the project e.g.support enrolment team with patient recruitment plan and retention plan.Comprehensive project specific monitoring plan when applicable.Risk management plan as applicable.
  • Coordinate and ensure completion of process for study insurance.
  • Work with the Project Assistant to set up project-specific training as needed for team members.
