Associate Project Vendor Manager II, Vendor Performance Management

Remote based in the US or EU

The Associate Project Vendor Manager II will manage higher number of vendors on varied complexity projects with minimal oversight. Review 3rd party vendor proposals and make selections of qualified vendors to provide service on assigned projects utilizing the qualified/preferred 3rd party vendor list. Review vendor contracts for inclusion of appropriate scope, pricing and agreed service standards. Obtain appropriate Project Management and Client approvals for original scope and budget for any subsequent scope changes

Work closely with Clinical Sourcing Group to ensure all vendor contract documentation is approved and processed on time. Participate in and present vendor management processes in project KOMs. Participate in Investigator's Meetings and provide training on 3rd party vendor services, if required. Establish and maintain good working relationship with the 3rd party vendors. Create Vendor Management Plan on assigned projects and obtain study team and Client approval. Serve as liaisonbetween the operationalstudy teams, Client and 3rd party vendors. Analyze vendor performance trends and provide proactive issue resolution. Perform proactive assessments of vendor service risks and recommend mitigation actions. Review and approve vendor invoices if billing is appropriate based on terms of the contract. Maintain status of budget vs actual spends for all 3rd party contracts. Track and file vendor management and 3rd party vendor documentation in eTMF according to eTMF guidelines and provide support with eTMF audits. Work on becoming an SME for a vendor speciality or a departmental process. Participate in client audits of assigned projects and present vendor management processes with minimal oversight. Participate in department process improvement initiatives. Complete other tasks, as assigned by management.

Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Degree in life sciences preferred
Experience:
Years in experience in the job discipline: 1-3

Years of experience in other professional roles: 3-5

Other required work-related experiences:
  • Clinical trials industry experience required
  • Vendor specialty experience preferred
  • Operational team project management experience preferred
  • Strong presentation skills required
  • Client facing experience preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
