Medical Science Liaison - Specialist Female Health - North / North West England
Our client is a European innovation-driven speciality pharmaceutical company with products distributed in more than 100 countries worldwide. The Women's Health Division is dedicated to the development and commercialisation of innovative drugs for women's reproductive medicine. The company is one of very few in the world to offer a comprehensive portfolio of products for gynaecological conditions.
In this role you will act as the field based medical and scientific expert in the relevant disease and therapy area. The MSL is the primary interface between the company medical department and the medical and scientific community. The MSL also provides feedback from the medical community to help ensure that the company is addressing the concerns and scientific needs of the target audience, a varied customer base including Gynaecologists, Service Managers, Pharmacists and Medicines Management.
You will also facilitate and develop the relationship with the medical/scientific community by communicating scientific and medical therapy area related information, providing information on research developments and new concepts in medical treatment.
Your suitability for the role will be defined by your:
- Medical Dr, PhD, PharmD or Graduate level degree in life sciences and ABPI qualification
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare environment or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Significant understanding of the current pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record of achievement and improved personal & business performance
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, understand and critically appraise technical documents such as clinical trial manuscripts
- Relationship building & Influencing - developing rapport
- Analysing & Interpreting - understanding & critically appraising technical/clinical documents
- Presence & energy - confident, assertive, self-motivated & enthusiastic, quick thinking, self-starter
- Ethical & robust - honest, high integrity, self-motivated, resilient
Experience within fertility/female health would also be advantageous.
