Immunologist / Senior – Gene Therapy – Oligonucleotides

We have an exciting opportunity available as an Immunologist with a hugely exciting novel biotechnology company based near Macclesfield, England. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a leading role in advancing preclinical research to the clinic, working closely with the CSO.

Responsibility summary

Responsibilities include:

• The identification and creation of appropriate preclinical models across multiple species to test key hypotheses by reviewing literature and networking with external opinion leaders
• Coordination and execution of animal studies via external CROs and with internal pharmacology scientists
• Analysis and presentation of study data, provision of scientific interpretations and recommendations in both team and company settings
• Leadership and execution of research projects independently ensuring that projects support current company goals
• Foster a scientific culture of collaboration, innovation, rigor, and transparency

Requirements

• PHD (or equivalent) in Immunology or relevant area
• 3+ or 5+ (principal) years experience in industry
• Experience with a broad range of assays, technologies and platforms, including relevant in vitro and in vivo models for immunology.
• Hands on mentality prepared to get stuck in initially whilst the team is built
