The role:


Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, you will jointly lead shop floor operations across an early shift in order to achieve the required level of performance at the agreed cost. You will ensure that all relevant Roche and external standards and legislation are applied throughout the shift activities - with focus on Customer , health and safety and quality requirements. You will identify and contribute to driving implementation of improvements across all distribution centre activities.


The Shift Supervisor will lead and motivate a team to perform to the highest standards and to live the Roche values.


Who you are:


You will need warehouse team management experience within a fast moving, complex warehouse environment working to high quality and regulatory standards. Ideally you will have experience of computerised and semi-automated warehouse environments, preferably in the automotive, retail or pharmaceutical sector. Experience of modern warehouse management systems such as SAP EWM is a requirement.


Other key skills/knowledge required:
  • Progressive leadership style with strong coaching skills
  • Ground engaged with a good understanding of the supply chain business
  • Service and customer driven and passionate about delivering a superior customer experience
  • IT literate with good working knowledge of Excel
  • SAP and system analysis skills and experience desirable
  • Awareness of health and safety law and dangerous goods storage and shipping regulations
  • Transport knowledge
