Director, Scientific Affairs - Orphan disease - Global biopharmaceutical company

Planet Pharma are working with a global biopharmaceutical company who are looking for experienced scientific affairs professionals to step in and take on a Director, Scientifics Affairs position with a view to further development within the company. 

This company focus on rare genetic and metabolic diseases, and their product is the first of it's kind to treat the disease it is used for. 

As part of this role, you will be working closely with the CSO and CEO to establish and agree on scientific policy, as well as developing the research portfolio and designing research strategy. You will be overseeing the company's research operations across both pre-clinical and clinical drug development, and will be leading a team alongside the CSO and CEO of this business. 

For this position, this client are looking for someone who has worked across pre-clinical and clinical development R&D, and has extensive experience in defining and executing research strategy across these areas. 

You will have directly led teams previously, and experience within dermatology or orphan diseases is essential.

You will also be working with global regulatory authorities so familiarity in working with these is an added advantage.

This position is fully remote in the UK.
