Customer Service & Supply Chain Specialist - 50% (897534-MGP)

Our client, is a German Multinational science and technology company headquartered in Germany with presence in 66 countries. The group includes around 250 companies and is divided into three business lines: Healthcare, Life Sciences and Performance Materials.

For one of their divisions with a large manufacturing and warehousing site we are currently looking for a Customer Service & Supply Chain Specialist for an 18-month contract to based in the Zug area, Switzerland.

In this role you will receive and process written customer orders, ensure timely delivery and billing to customers, provide professional support at the reception while receiving visitors. You will answer / forward telephone customer inquiries in German, French and English. You will also represent the Head of Supply Chains in their absence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Independent order processing;
  • Receipt and processing of customer orders including invoicing;
  • Advice and support for customers on the phone in German, French and English;
  • Coordination and processing of the returns in cooperation with an external distributor / warehouse;
  • Reception: Receiving and forwarding incoming calls in German, French, and English;
  • Reception and registration of visitors and guests;
  • General correspondence in German, French, and English;
  • Applying for / increasing credit limits
  • Implementation of ICS controls as defined;
  • Handling post (receiving, distributing and delivering mail) Supply Chain Specialist:
  • Monitoring of the SAP (ERP) interface to our external distributor / warehouse;
  • Monitoring of the global supply chain (Supply Risk Report);
  • Issuing of destruction orders in accordance with work instructions;
  • Preparation and monitoring of various evaluations and reports such as KPI, Batch Progress Control (BPC), out-of-stock, stock reconciliation (and more);
  • Preparation and implementation of user acceptance and regression tests in the SAP (ERP) system and HPALM;
  • Representing the Head of Supply Chain in his absence;

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required;
  • Commercial education;
  • Professional experience in the area of ordering / reception;
  • Good language skills in German, French and English;
  • High level of independence;
  • Good knowledge of SAP (ERP) is essential.
