Job Details

Hobson Prior are looking to recruit a permanent Lab Systems Support Analysis for our clients new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility being built in Geneva. In this role you would be joining a small, rapidly growing and highly motivated team setting up the busines in Geneva while drawing on the support of your colleagues in the US. This role requires you to be full-time on site in the Geneva facility.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You are excited at the prospect of joining a small, informal, and proactive team of experienced industry professionals maintaining frequent and open communication setting up a new facility.
  • The role's focus will be to combine a high rate of lab instrument installations with delivering support and assistance to a growing user base of laboratory personnel in Analytical Formulation Services, Process Development and Manufacturing as their primary contact for IT-related issues.
  • You will be part of the Global IT function and you will have frequent communication with your US counterparts.
  • You would be expected to lead presentations to your US colleagues to review the activity in Geneva or to help define best practices.
  • The position requires basic skills in networking, hardware, databases, and operating systems. The technologies used include, but are not limited to: Empower, SoftMax Pro, Unicorn, MassLynx, Chemstation SoloVPE, 32Karat, UV Winlab, PharmSpec, Compass. The position requires a working knowledge of these systems, their administration, and the equipment they support.
  • You will be required to address routine requests such as folder creation, backups and restorations, account management, troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues in GMP and non-GMP laboratory environments.
  • To serve as the Subject Matter Expert on projects relating to the installation, validation and deployment of laboratory and manufacturing systems.
  • Responsible for authoring and executing CSV deliverables as required.

Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT or scientific discipline, with a minimum of 4 years of Lab Systems Support related work.
  • Prior experience in a GxP environment needed.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a laboratory environment in the pharmaceutical industry and you have a strong background in GMP.
  • Fluent in the English and French languages.
  • Good knowledge of Computer Systems Validation (CSV).
  • Basic skills in networking, hardware, databases, and operating systems.
