MEDICAL AFFAIRS CONSULTANT - HIV/AIDS - UK - CONTRACT

i-Pharm Consulting have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Affairs professional to join a leading global Biopharmaceutical company, who specialise in the research and development of antiviral drugs as a Medical Affairs Consultant. You will develop, implement, and manage real world data (RWD) and Observational Research (OR) strategies and tactics to demonstrate the value of pipeline and inline products in HIV/AIDS globally.

TITLE:

Consultant, Medical Affairs Research

ROLE:

Within this role you will:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Medical Affairs Research medical strategy
  • Create protocols, analysis plans, and final study reports, as well as draft manuscripts for studies
  • Collaborate with HEOR, Therapeutic Area Medical Directors, Commercial Strategy and Clinical Development
  • Evaluate and select which data sources, cohorts, registries and collaborators will help achieve the strategic objectives and data generation plans
  • Provide high quality technical and methodological support to cross-functional teams
  • Assess data gaps and provide input on clinical and patient related outcomes (PRO) endpoints with Phase II/III/IV clinical trials
  • Develop manuscripts, scientific forum presentations to build the peer reviewed published scientific evidence base
  • Continuously ensure best approaches are used in studies and evaluations adhering to all applicable pharmaceutical codes, Office of Inspector General (OIG) guidelines
  • Provide support at advisory boards, regional educational programs, conferences and other external meetings

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior working experience in real world data (RWD) and patient related outcomes (PRO) in HIV/AIDS
  • D., MD, Pharm.D. or equivalent
  • Strong experience in study design and analysis, database assessment and analysis, advanced statistical methods
  • Proven track record as demonstrated by publications in peer-review journals
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to network and partner with internal and external stakeholders
  • A comprehensive understanding of global healthcare systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) is required
  • Ability to travel frequently (+/- 30%)

CONTRACT LENGTH:

12 months with potential to extend

LOCATION:

UK - Home based with travel to office in West London once per week

RATE:

Competitive daily rate dependent on experience
