If 'yes' then we are recruiting for a Laboratory Aide for our Lab Operations department. This is a role suited to someone who has an interest in science but who may not have a scientific related education or background.

***Successful external candidates will be eligible for a £1000 sign on bonus as well as a competitive salary and benefits package***

This role is to be based at our site in Eye, Suffolk. You will be working across our modern, purpose built laboratories where you will play a key role in the logistical and operational support of the Histology department.

Following a comprehensive training and career development scheme, the responsibilities of this varied role will include:

• All processes involved with the receipt, documentation and storage of incoming consumables and reagents.
• Stock control and rotation.
• Study set up procedures including precise labelling of samples, accurate recording of data, label/slide printing and reagent preparation.
• Adherence to Good Laboratory Practice regulations.
• Undertaking cross-training initiatives within other areas across Safety Assessment.
• The job may involve periods of lifting, pushing and pulling of equipment and animals.

Education/Qualifications:
5 GCSE level passes or equivalent (C or above) including Maths, Science and English. Candidates without this level of qualification may be recruited if considered suitable.
Experience:
No experience required as full training will be given.
