IQVIA is looking for a Director of Nursing in Spain to be responsible for leading the build and ongoing operations of in-country nurse networks. In this role there is a need for cross- functional collaboration including close liaison and engagement with support functions. Our chosen candidate with also be a member of the global nurse networks leadership team.

This role will oversee in the in country the strategic direction and development of designated projects within the nurse network initiative.

Essential Functions
• Manage nurse network projects, ensuring revenue and contribution targets are met and customer expectations are achieved.
• Total responsibility for the delivery of the budgeted revenue and contribution for a defined group of projects, ensuring key financial performance milestones (e.g., turnover, vacancy days and sickness) for the project are achieved.
• Initiate new project set up and provide input into broader projects / strategic issues for the nurse network.
• Ensure defined projects achieve high standards of performance via measurement of key areas vs. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure the nurse network business plan and departmental financial objectives are achieved.
• Provide input into strategic initiatives and the nurse network Business Planning process, ensuring on-going communications amongst team.
• Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Manage, train and develop Associate Director Nursing, Field Nurse Managers and Nurse Advisors.
• Ensure all team members have an understanding and working knowledge of the project service.
• Actively work with the Business Development Team to develop and deliver new services.
• Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations.  Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems.  Approve actions on human resources matters.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Life Sciences
• 12 years experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare environment, with previous relevant line management experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Understanding and general knowledge of health service
• Good working knowledge of national clinical systems
• Ability to manage own workload with minimal guidance
• Ability to monitor and plan to meet program objectives
• Provide lead on internal cross project working
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients

Fluency in Spanish and English
