My client, an incredible creative communications group is seeking a medical editor with a strong passion for excellence and outstanding quality.
This is a unique and rare opportunity that will see you working alongside their US team. You will be part of a cross-continental community within their global editorial team.
With a strong focus on scientific training, specialising in film, infographics, virtual training, and live experiences for a range of pharmaceutical clients.
You will be involved in a diverse range of work, ensuring the highest quality of editorial and medical standards are met at all times. You will work closely with your team on copy editing, proof reading and fact checking all deliverables.
RESPONSIBILITES
- As the first Editor for the US team based out of the UK, demonstrate proactivity, flexibility, and excellent communication, with the ability to build a true cross-continental partnership
- Understand the importance of clear briefs, along with showing flexibility with changing timelines
- Collaborate with creative and medical writing teams to provide input and ensure accuracy of medical illustrations and figures
- Manage multiple tasks across a number of accounts and therapy areas, ensuring consistency and accuracy is always met
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of a bachelor’s within a scientific discipline
- Previous copy-editing experience with a medical or scientific focus – ESSENTIAL
- Familiarity with AMA style
- Excellent verbal, written and organisational skills
- Knowledge of spelling (UK & US) and grammar
- Outstanding attention to detail, ability to follow a style guide and spot errors, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies
- Ability to manage multiple projects while having the flexibility to change priorities quickly
