Payer Marketing Associate Director

Barrington James is partnered with an innovative, commercial-stage, biopharmaceutical company. It is focused on the global development and commercialization of immunotherapies in oncology.

Primary Function

The Associate Director of Payer Marketing will work very closely with the brand team to create and align on overall payer strategic imperatives for product offerings in Oncology. The individual will need to support the Market Access team with strategic guidance and tactical execution on key metrics required for a product launch and acceleration. This will include working with cross-functional colleagues to profile the payer landscape, conduct MR and develop access goals for a successful launch. In addition, the person will be responsible for delivering payer messaging and pull through tactics to support the overall commercial objectives.

Responsibilities and duties

• Serve as an expert of US Access to commercial/medical/Clinical and Legal teams to support the process for building and defining the HMPL value strategy for a launch brand
• Lead and design the Payer Value Prop, resources/tactics and facilitate internal (LMR) approval to maximize patient access
• Work closely with the sales training team to facilitate access as a part of the training curricula for Field sales
• Work closely with the HEOR team to assess the ability to deliver Value messaging to access customers based on RWE.
• Identify challenges and opportunities within the payer segment by connecting across functions and develop effective solutions that support the overall Brand Plans
• Be the Point Of Contact for the overall Access strategy within the Brand team and own the metrics for tracking progress and assessing impact of pull through efforts

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Minimum Bachelors degree required
• 4-7 years of Pharma/Biotech experience with minimum of 3 years in Payer Marketing
• Must have the ability to act as a cross functional leader to drive Access strategies to execution in working closely with Field teams, Pricing, HEOR and Medical
• Oncology Experience
