Job Details

An exciting new opportunity has arisen in Chelsea, London for a Senior Medical Writer to join a global leader in bringing new solutions to patients for the detection, prevention, and treatment of blood clots. This position will be accountable for creating high-quality written materials across a range of media.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You contribute to and leads the content development of written materials (e.g. abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and a wide range of other medical communication activities).
  • Develops and maintains the publication plans for various company studies.
  • Works with multidisciplinary project teams and external advisors to ensure projects are delivered within-budget, on-time and on-message.
  • Understands and builds an increasing knowledge of the science/medicine of thrombosis to the degree required for effective communication with internal team members, clients, authors and target audiences.
  • Develops and deploys procedures to monitor project progress.
  • Ensures that processes are in place to coordinate and communicate plans, priorities and goals.
  • Defines, embeds and communicates standards for accuracy on all written materials.
  • Mentors and advises junior team members and shares best-practice procedures.
  • Occasional travel, including international travel is required.

Requirements:

  • A sound scientific understanding and strong writing ability.
  • An aptitude for interpreting data and distilling complex scientific information into engaging and effective content, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to find and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar and check text for consistency, clarity and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently and effectively in a team across multiple projects.
  • A flexible and proactive attitude, with the ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • A high level of personal motivation and initiative.
