Job Details

A growing biopharmaceutical organisation in Switzerland are currently looking for Senior Scientist Analytical Development to join them on a 12-month contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at an organisation focused on discovering, developing and bringing more, pioneering medicines to patients.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Job Responsibilities
:

  • Accountable for the development, assessment, optimization and application of analytical methods applying analytical techniques mentioned above.
  • Responsible for the write-up of analytical methods and reports (e.g. for development).
  • Assurance of adequate maintenance and operation of analytical equipment.
  • Planning and execution of experiments for method development, assessment, optimization and application.
  • Partaking in meetings at intra- and inter-departmental level (e.g., CMC).
  • Proper documentation of all analytical activities according to Good Documentation Practices through compilation of all analytical testing records (e.g., notebooks, raw data hardcopies).
  • Interpretation and documentation of analytical data including results.
  • Drafting and review of CoAs and/or Analytical results sheet.
  • Drafting of SOPs, GUIs, TPLs, FRMs.
  • Training of Laboratory personnel.
  • Ensuring of cleanliness of laboratory and workspace.
  • Independently designs and executes projects or experiments with hands on involvement.
  • Independently reviews scientific work in project related activities.
  • Ensures availability of adequate lab materials as well as justifies acquisition of new materials or equipment.

  • Ability to efficiently plan and effectively execute and document analytical experiments in a pharmaceutical environment.

Requirements:

  • Apprenticeship-, college-, or university-degree or equivalent education in the field of chemistry, biology, biochemistry, pharmacy, or chemical engineering (with apprenticeship 6-10 years, 4-8 years BS or 3-5 years MS experience).
  • Basic knowledge of GMP.
  • Good and broad knowledge of sample preparation, analytical instrumentation and techniques especially in the field of chromatography and spectroscopy.
  • Proficient in English.
