If 'yes' then we are recruiting for an Laboratory Support Technician in our post life department. This is a role suited to someone who has an interest in science but who may not have a scientific related education or background.

This role is to be based at our site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. You will be working across our modern, purpose built laboratories where you will play a key role in the logistical and operational support of the Necropsy department.

Following a comprehensive training and career development scheme, the responsibilities of this varied role will include:

• Stock control and rotation.
• Study set up procedures including precise labelling of pots, label/slide preparation and reagent preparation.

• Tissue dispatch and preparation of paperwork

• Adherence to Good Laboratory Practice regulations.
• Undertaking cross-training initiatives within other areas across Safety Assessment.
• The job will involve periods of lifting, pushing and pulling of equipment

Education/Qualifications:

• GCSE education level
• Ability to work as a team and learn new techniques
• Ability to follow instruction and pay attention to detail and accuracy

• Is fully aware of Health and Safety requirements
