Providing discreet, conflict-free, and knowledgeable advice on M&A, pharmaceutical asset sale, capital markets, and licensing transactions.

The position is designed to provide highly motivated professionals with a broad range of experience in strategic advisory, partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions in the life sciences sector. The position offers highly qualified professionals more exposure to the deal process and clients and closer contact with senior bankers than they would find at traditional bulge-bracket firms. Seeking intelligent, articulate and mature individuals, with past or current experience in investment banking, the desire and flexibility to work with a small team and the ability to learn on the job without additional formal training.

Job Description

  • Play a key role supporting origination and deal execution, working on a broad scope of assignments and products
  • Very strong financial modeling/valuation and analytical skills
  • Work closely with senior bankers to generate ideas and solutions to meet client needs
  • Support senior bankers in day-to-day client coverage
  • Communicate and interact with internal deal team members and clients
  • Play a leadership role in the execution of M&A transactions and equity and debt financings
  • Lead due diligence sessions
  • Develop pitchbook materials for client meetings
  • Mentor and train junior personnel
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive
  • Excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree from a leading university
  • 1-6 years of Investment Banking transaction experience
  • Prior experience and/or education in life sciences preferred but not required
  • Very strong financial modeling/valuation and analytical skills
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills
  • Strategic and creative thinking; strong written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to manage several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
