Senior Medical Writer
New York, NY - Fully remote
Erick Semerene and Albion Rye Associates are proud to be working with an Award-Winning, full-service medical communications agency on the hunt for a well-rounded and very experienced Senior Medical Writer.
What is the job?
- Provide research, writing, and editing expertise to high standards based on cutting-edge science with minimum supervision
- Creating and delivering new, accurate, high-quality content within the project specifications, timeline, and budget
- Providing quality reviews for both project and business development efforts
- Function as a scientific expert for assigned project teams, and function as the leading writer for assigned accounts.
- Represent the company at client meetings (eg, advisory boards, speaker-training meetings, business development initiatives) in a professional manner.
- Effectively and proactively communicate with team members (editorial, editorial support, project, client), authors/faculty, and vendors in areas related to project completion.
To be successful in this role:
- Ideally, 2+ years experience with a background in life sciences and current writing experience in Healthcare/ Medical Communications
- Higher life sciences degree – PharmD or PhD highly preferred.
- Highly motivated and driven individual, passionate about science, and eager to make science and medicine accessible.
- Able to understand scientific and clinical information and then use that knowledge to create strategic and captivating content for various healthcare professional audiences.
- Have the ability to work well within a team, prioritize roles and responsibilities daily and work well under deadline pressure in a team environment.
This role will be based on the East Coast with a preference for the New York Metropolitan area. Although other locations will be considered too.
