It has been agreed that our AstraZeneca UK Commercial head office will move from Luton to Pancras Square, London in early 2022. This role will be initially based in our Luton office, until this move takes place.
Our move to Pancras Square offers us the strongest possible platform to transform the lives of patients in the UK, as the country's leading biopharmaceutical company. It will bring AstraZeneca UK closer to our customers, partners and stakeholders in the UK's healthcare environment, as well as foster greater collaboration with the wider AstraZeneca footprint.
What you'll do:
Provide broad support and take the lead on segments, of the delivery of health economic content for HTA submissions to convey the value of AstraZeneca medicines, with the aim of securing national level patient access for Oncology Business Unit products.
Work in conjunction with the Health Economics Manager and global HEOR function to shape the development of cost utility analysis models, systematic literature reviews, network meta analyses and other payer-related materials for HTA.
Research prior appraisals to gain understanding of relevant considerations.
Tailor final deliverables to meet UK HTA needs, via "hands on" approach, including development of budget impact analysis.
Support the writing of cost-effectiveness section for submissions to NICE, SMC and AWMSG, working collaboratively with UK MA colleagues and Medical team.
Provide high quality responses to technical assessor questions.
Essential skills and experience:
Postgraduate qualification in health economics
Experience in applied health economics and developing HE content for HTA submissions in either a HEOR agency or in the pharmaceutical industry
Ability to be able to develop cost-utility analysis and budget impact models in Microsoft Excel
Working knowledge (or above) of Microsoft VBA
Demonstrable record of collaborative working and personal delivery to agreed timelines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong written skills
Experience of training non-Health Economists in the effective delivery of HE outputs
Experience in oncology therapy area
First degree in economics, life sciences, mathematics or similar
Experience of managing external suppliers
Other experience beyond Health Economics (e.g. NHS or broader market access)
