Compass Life Sciences are supporting a global leader within Diagnostics and Next Generation Sequencing
We are actively recruiting for an experienced technical sales specialist based in the London region.
Our clients commercial sales team in the UK work with some of the brightest and best individuals in the field and we know that working as a partner with our accounts will enable us to build strong relationships, ensuring great customer satisfaction and maximise the opportunities for NGS.
You will be willing to travel around the UK South region 80% of the time and you will have a valid UK driving license.
Your good technical skills in life science, ideally in sequencing together with extensive commercial skills will drive your ability to achieve sales objectives in line with the Company's mission. Knowing this is key to building value for the customer, you will be eager to cultivate relationships with customers, both pre and post sales to identify and help implement workflows for NGS. You'll enjoy helping our customers achieve their goal and you'll establish yourself as a trusted partner and a key team player for our Commercial business.
You will come from a technical / NGS background and preferably have a BA/BS or MS, PhD in Life Sciences.
Pre-sales activity will include delivery of technical expertise during the sales process including consultation on applications, assay design and data analysis / interpretation.
Working closely with existing territory account managers and sales specialists to drive library prep sales with each instrument sale and ensuring a rapid “time to implementation” of new library preparation solutions
Identify and develop new LP opportunities
Align and contribute with TAMs and DSMs on strategic territory plan
Working with customers post system installation and initial training by Field Applications Scientist to provide additional training on library preparation workflow.
Supporting and training customers on assay design and the use of DesignStudio to accelerate adoption of targeted resequencing. Support activities will include checking designs submitted by customers
Working collaboratively with sales, service and support to ensure effective account/customer management and communication through pre-sales - installation - post-sales cycle
Escalation of technical issues to Technical Support for resolution
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers in assigned territory
